About the company

Pandora Intelligence is a Dutch start-up that specializes on the evaluation of publicly available data (open source intelligence), but also gives the option to include additional non-public data from the respective "customers".

Contribution to the EU border regime

At a workshop of the EU border protection agency Frontex on "Predicting changes in migration flows by evaluating open data", the company (among others together with Frontex) presented its approach. As a special feature the company highlights the use of artificial intelligence to forecast scenarios based on "narratives" and, in contrast, to develop alternative, more desirable scenarios and to formulate the conditions for their realization. In job advertisements, the company describes itself as a provider of “the latest generation of analysis software for police authorities, governments and ministries, news agencies and services, military organizations and security regions”. Its software enables these organizations to "learn from the past, react to the present and anticipate future events". The company is also supported within the framework of the Hague Security Delta, a network for the promotion of companies in the security sector supported by the Dutch government and the municipality of The Hague. Among the numerous sponsors of this network are Deloitte, Europol, TNO, Cisco and other actors involved in the EU border regime.
