Contribution to the EU border regime
BAE took part in the SEABILLA project, which aimed to put the Integrated Border Management (IBM) in practice as defined by FRONTEX (s. Selex). According to the frontexfiles it was present at the „Day on Maritime Analysis Tools“ hosted by FRONTEX in 2017, where the company promoted its sattelite-based tools to monitor habours and coastlines. Planes and vessels built by BAE, like the Destroyer HMS Diamond, were repeatedly part of European Missions for maritime surveillance in the Mediterranean, such as EUNAVFOR Med/Sophia.
